About Our Training
Dr Monir Moniruzzaman leads training courses, bringing more than 23 years of experience in Explosive Ordnance Engineering from academia and large defence industries in the Western World. A former senior lecturer at Cranfield University’s School of Defence and Security (UK), and the Director for Propellant Development in CSG Defence, MSM Group — Fabrica Municiones de Granada (FMG), Spain. Internationally respected in the defence community, Dr Monir is known for pioneering research and
outstanding teaching in energetic materials. His expertise covers nitrocellulose, propellants, explosives (including commercial explosives), propellant stability, life assessment, and health & safety.
Introduction to Explosives

Gun Propellants Technology
Course Duration: 1 week
This module is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills on a range of nitrate ester
propellants. It covers cellulose, nitrocellulose, ingredients, compositions, manufacturing, properties, and vulnerabilities of conventional propellants, advanced propellants, as well as stability, internal ballistics, chemical and ballistic life, and life assessment. The course also includes a one-day practical session using simulants and cellulose and nitrocellulose burning if customers have the facilities and materials.

Manufacturing of Gun Propellants
Course Duration: 1 week

parameters, compositions as well as the assessment of various manufacturing routes, vulnerability,
hazards, and mitigation process.

Stability and Life Assessment of Propellants

Safety in Handling, manufacturing and Storage of Energetic Materials
